Firstly; I would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year and hope you got everything you wished for this Christmas! I did- Santa brought me some fabulous “Leighton Denny CRYSTAL NAIL FILES”- What a treat! (Our Leighton is; “Winner of British Nail Technician of the year 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004!”) Santa was very generous this year and also brought me some X Factor tickets to see the finalists this February- I can’t wait!

Today was back to work day. So what have I been up to you ask.....? Well I went to Moreton, Wirral and created a set of hot pink nails that one of my lovely clients had chosen to wear for her 21^st birthday on Monday- last week was the black nails but today- it’s all about the pink nails! We both agreed they looked fab! And it’s good to experiment- right!?
I will have to get some pictures on here once it’s all up and running! Nail treatments have been very popular in the run up to Christmas-we love to see a bit of sparkle in the festive time of year now don’t we!

Lashes have also been a good one- I couldn’t be without mine now- not on a special occasion anyway! I love to feel the glamour of the longest lashes I can get my hands on! Even when you wake up in the morning and glance in the mirror; it’s instant A-list with these fluttering fancies on those gorgeous eyes! That’s no matter how intoxicated you were the night before: P
Oh yes- the eyes say it all!

Not to mention the Spray Tans- lots and lots of Spray Tans- yes even in December!
Speaking for myself who wears this girls-best-friend stuff ALL YEAR ROUND! I fell in love with DHA (DiHydroxyAcetone-the main tanning ingredient) when I was about 12 years of age! Haven’t looked back since! Something tells me I was born to be a Beauty Therapist!

So now it’s January..... you know what that means- DETOX TIME! And what better way to start this process than to experience an A-list Luxury Facial that will revitalise that dry, dehydrated and dull looking skin! PLUS an Aromatherapy Back Neck and Shoulder Massage to eliminate those toxins and

My 1^st blog is about going to a MAC pro class in London- oh this has got to have been one of the most exciting days for me as I just LOVE their make-up, as I also love to learn new tricks of the trade!

MAC Master class -Polishing your Makeup

In this class, American Makeup Artist, Alexsandra Byrne (who has previously worked with Bjork, Christina Aguilera, KT Tunstall, Sienna Miller and Anna Friel and is also currently the beauty editor at Plastique Magazine) demonstrated power techniques to apply over the top of your make up in order to shape, sculpt and sharpen the results, Alex also showed us how to use makeup in layers of textures to facilitate quick changes, as well as morphing colours and shapes with ease.

I felt so privileged to even be in the presence of such an amazing artist! I managed to jot down as many notes as I could and took lots of pics that I have added on here for all you MAC fans to take a sneak peak! What an inspiration Alex was.

MAC Master Class -Capturing Beauty

Presented by M.A.C Senior Artist James Molloy,

We watched as James worked his magic in a live beauty photo shoot.

“James has developed his style of beauty makeup over ten seasons at fashion week and shooting editorial for magazines including Red, Tatler, West East, Cosmopolitan and Stella”.

This class discussed the relationship between Makeup Artist and Photographer. It also taught us about lighting considerations for beauty photography. James uncovered his process of making someone look their best. He also showed us his techniques and tools for concealing, contouring, enhancing and perfecting skin and colour palette selection.

Yet another incredible master class! It will be 6 months until my next trip to London for the next class- I am counting down the days already!
