I was always shaving. And honestly, I hated it.

I’d get a rough, itchy red rash almost every time, and then two days later the hair would already be growing back. It felt like a constant cycle of irritation and maintenance. I just assumed that was normal.

I first came to Hannah for intimate waxing. I didn’t really know what to expect and I was definitely nervous. But from the moment I walked in, I felt completely at ease. The treatment room is calm and private, and Hannah just has a way of making you feel comfortable straight away.

The appointments are quick and not invasive at all. I seem to tolerate the treatment really well (Hannah says that’s because of the levels she’s able to work at with me). What surprised me most is how quickly I started noticing changes. The hair is growing back slower, finer and in patches. The irritation I used to get from shaving is basically gone.

Now I’m so pleased with the results that I’ve started my leg laser journey too!

The biggest difference for me is not constantly thinking about hair removal. I’m not planning around shaving. I’m not dealing with rashes. I’m not worrying about stubble two days later.

If you’d told me a few years ago I’d move from shaving to waxing to laser, I wouldn’t have believed you. But now I honestly wouldn’t go back.

I have PCOS, so my facial hair has always been really prominent. For years I epilated or tweezed, just trying to stay on top of it. It was exhausting and constant. After seeing some amazing reviews, I finally decided to try laser hair removal.

I was told I needed to shave for a few weeks beforehand and stop epilating, as there needs to be a hair in the follicle for the laser to work. After my first session, I won’t lie, I felt so low. Shaving my face felt unfeminine and I suddenly had to shave daily. You could see the shadow of the hairs under my skin and it made me so downhearted. I didn’t want to socialise. I even tried wearing make-up to cover it, which I never normally do.

Then about a week later, everything changed.

I was washing my face and could literally see the hairs shedding onto the flannel from my chin. The difference was unreal. I have been coming to Hannah for my waxing for a couple of years and initially wasn’t interested in the laser for my Hollywood

I have just finished my first course (about to start my second ) and I am so pleased with the results – the hair on my back is basically non-existent.

And my Hollywood area is nearly the same.

When people would say about getting laser, I would think why bother just shave or wax but I’m already thinking about booking in for my underarms and legs ! It’s so nice not having to shave/wax

After taking the leap from shaving every few days to having laser hair removal, I haven’t looked back.

I used to shave constantly and it felt like the hair was back almost immediately. There was always stubble, irritation or shadowing and it just felt like so much effort for such short-lived results.

Before starting laser, my underarms were something I was always thinking about. I had to shave every 1–2 days and even then there was still a dark shadow under the skin. If I wanted to wear a vest top, lift my arms up or go on holiday in a bikini, I’d always feel self-conscious.

The regrowth was just as frustrating. Within hours of shaving, I’d already feel stubble coming through. I was constantly dealing with itchy regrowth, ingrown hairs and razor rash, and the hairs themselves were thick and dark.

After just three laser sessions at A-List Beauty, I’ve already noticed a huge difference. The hair is growing back much finer and lighter, and I don’t feel the need to shave anywhere near as often.

I can now comfortably leave it 1–2 weeks between shaving, the dark shadow under my arms has gone, and the ingrown hairs and irritation have completely settled. I already feel much more confident wearing sleeveless tops and know I’ll feel comfortable in a bikini on holiday too.

Laser has also been far more comfortable than I expected, and I’m excited to see the final results as I continue the rest of my course.
